PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS AT GHOST RANCH
Photographer Kent Bowser will be teaching the following traditional black and white photography/darkroom classes at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico. Kent Bowser also teaches one on one workshops in Santa Fe for photographers of all levels. Fine tune your black and white exposure, developing, and printing to make some of your best prints ever.
Shoot The Ranch: Black And White Photography
Experience O'Keeffe country, a deeply spiritual landscape, through hiking and your lens. This is a traditional black and white photography/darkroom class. Landscape theory, film development and printing in a traditional, classic darkroom are covered in class.
Black & White Photography and Time
Evoke the essence of time through photography. Explore the archaeological and geological features on and around Ghost Ranch with a master photographer Kent Bowser and archaeologist/interpreter of northern New Mexico, Cheryl Muceus. Be prepared to walk five miles a day over uneven terrain at high elevations carrying camera and tripod. You will be developing your photos in the Ghost Ranch darkroom, so leave the digital camera in your room for this one.
Artist-in-Residence: Black & White Photography with Kent Bowser
Photograph and bask in northern New Mexico's autumn light in the spectacular Ghost Ranch landscape. Kent Bowser, who has 20 years of teaching and shooting experience the ranch, is artist in residence this September. As artist in residence, Kent will be able to structure a variety of classes and one on one instruction. The black and white darkroom is well equipped and handles 35mm through 4x5 formats. So if you want beginning instruction or want to brush up on old skills and fine printing, this prime season offers something for all levels of experience. The classes are $75 a day plus appropriate lab fees, contact Kent or see Ghost Ranch's web site for more details.
